The project

Making a little matcha magic.

Bird & Blend wanted to introduce the Matcha Latte Magic Whisk with a film that showed what it does, how it works and the drinks you can make with it. The brief called for premium product close-ups, but with the colour, playfulness and sense of magic that make the brand feel like Bird & Blend.

We handled the filming, including the camera crew, lighting and location, and brought Bird & Blend’s supplied graphics to life through animation. The finished delivery included films for various social platforms, still images and web content, giving the team a collection of assets to use beyond the main promo.

Product detail. Brand personality.

The product needed to look as good on screen as the finished matcha. Close-ups draw attention to the whisk, its branding and the milk turning inside, while the pink set and yellow product keep the film bright and inviting. We animated Bird & Blend’s lettering and illustrations around the footage, bringing a playful voice to the product demonstration.

From the whisk to the glass.

The brief followed a simple journey: press the button, add the matcha, watch it whisk and pour. Overhead shots show the mixing, while close-ups of the pour and finished drinks make the result easy to see. Hot and iced matcha were both part of the story, showing different ways to enjoy the same product.

Behind the pour.

We organised the location, camera crew and lighting for the shoot, capturing the product in use as well as the close-up details. Planning for landscape and portrait formats meant considering how the action would sit in different crops. That gave us footage for the website and social edits, alongside still images for the wider launch.

The finished promo combines live-action product footage with animated type and illustrations. The aim was to make the whisk easy to understand and the matcha tempting, while keeping Bird & Blend’s personality in every shot.
